YouTube channel?!

Hi everyone!

So, I turned 22 last week (cue TSwizzle) and decided to start a YouTube channel!

I'm really excited about this and have wanted to do it for a while. I posted my first video. It kind of sucks, but what do you do. I need to learn to edit! 

Anyway, I filmed a birthday haul where I ramble on about things I bought myself got for my birthday. I'm not sure how often I'll be able to upload though. I got really excited and filmed three videos yesterday, uploaded one last night and it took up a QUARTER of our anytime download allowance for the month. And it's the beginning of our cycle! (I have satellite.) 

That's a huge bummer because my laptop isn't very portable at the moment. I need to save for a new one. When I get one, I'll be able to upload at school :)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Who out there loves Valentine's Day? 

I do.

Have I ever had a Valentine?

No.

But I still love Valentine's day/ 

I love that people are in love and are celebrating being in love. It's so sweet and happy. We live in a world that isn't very sweet and happy, so it's nice to celebrate.

Today I have to go to work (boo.) I really don't want to, but I'm a grown up. So I will. 

It's really something I need to work on. When I get sad or unhappy (I'll do a post on my depression at a later date. I'd like to be completely open about it, so I can help others in the same boat.) I start calling out of work and I'll just read or watch TV. It's so bad. Sometimes I just feel like I'm not living. I've been in SC for 6 months and I've hardly made a friend. I literally go to work, come home, and go to school. My bedroom is a disaster. It gets that way when I get this way. I feel like the world is closing in on me. 

My 22nd birthday is in two days and I have nothing to show for my 21st year.

How sad is that. If it wasn't for my twin encouraging me to blog, I probably wouldn't even be doing this. 

This whole blogging experience is amazing and I love it. When I get sad, I don't blog so the last few months have been nonexistent. Do any of you have any advice for me when it comes to dealing with sadness?  I have my good and bad days. Then I have days like today where it's both good and bad. I'm seriously considering calling off work and taking a personal day for myself. Is that bad? I've only worked one day this week, so probably. Goooossshhh. I'm so depressing, but I'm still posting this. Happier post tomorrow, I SWEAR! ;)

Li-Li-Liebster Award!

So, an awesome thing happened. 

Rachel from Not Two Normal nominated me for the Liebster Award! We recently met on insta (follow her here) and we bonded over Harry Potter and makeup. She's officially my girl crush.

1. What's up?  Seriously, what's happening right when you type this?

Well, I'm sitting on my messy bed in my messy room contemplating a shower. Snow day, yo. 

 2. How did you come up with your blog name?

My blog name is an actual nickname my Uncle uses for me. Jessica--Jessacana.

3. What is your favorite part about blogging?

My favorite part about blogging is definitely meeting new people. Like my bff Paulina

4. Least favorite?

I am a procrastinator. I need to stop putting blogging last. Also, blogging to a zero audience. Its a bummer. 

5. What's the very first outfit you can remember wearing?

I remember wearing a hideous floral dress with big pearl buttons and shoulder pads to kindergarten picture day. I was a fox. 

6.  What's the last makeup product you bought?

Oh.My.Goodness. I just went wild online shopping. I'll go with my last order. I literally just place an order to ulta.com and got the new Anastasia Brow mousse thing along with an Urban Decay lippy, some brushes, and an eyelash curler. I'm definitely doing a haul when all the stuff I've ordered comes in.

7.  Did you have an 'awkward' phase growing up?  Describe it!

Omgyes. Try A to D cup within months in the 6th grade, braces, acne, and an unfortunate hair moment. (think round brush cut out of hair with scissors.) *shudder

8.  What's your all-time favorite movie?

Singin' in the Rain

9.  What're you wearing as you type this? (how creepy does that sound, hah)

Pjs. Not the sexy kind. 

10. It's the weekend, do you go out, or prefer to stay in?  Why?

Stay in. I'm still new in town so I don't know many people yet.
