2014 New Year's Resolutions!

1.) Be healthier/ Lose 50lbs! Cliche? Yes. Serious? Also yes.

2.) Blog three times a week. I love blogging and I want to get serious.

3.) Get great grades in school. I'm going into my
first semester of college in two weeks. I fell into depression and got terrible grades in HS. I don't want a repeat.

4.) Save at least $50 from each paycheck. I want to visit my twin!

5.) Make a list of positive things every day. I want to be happier and be more positive. Hopefully I'll have less sad days.

6.) Start a YouTube channel. It's something I've wanted to do
for a long time. I need to have courage.

7.) Learn more about tea. A weird resolution, but I like tea.

I reserve the right to add as I go along ;)

Anybody there?

Hello, I'm Jessica and I'm a blog procrastinator.

It's not that I don't like it so I avoid it like the plague, it's just that I get discouraged.

But here I am. I'm blogging.

The last few days have been terrible in my slice of the world. I've had a dreadful cold and have been stuck in the house curled up in my messy room just wanting to die. But I didn't. I DID clean my room though. Finally.
Does anyone else get into the kind of funks I get into? I'm so weird. I'll clean my room and love how clean and organized it is, then it'll gradually get messier until it looks like a tornado came through. Then, after a week of misery because my brain hates the mess, I spend 2 hours cleaning my room. It's a vicious cycle.
I know that it will only take less than 10 minutes to clean up after myself everyday. I don't know why I'm so lazy. That's going to be a new year's resolution, I think. Along with losing weight (for real) and finally meeting my twin Paulina at Color Me Brave

Another New Year's Resolution will definitely be blogging. It's something that I love and I really want to get more into it. I want to make more friends and be happier, and I think it's a great first step.

Tiny Tip Tuesday! #4

Hello my lovlies.

It's finally starting to get colder. While the fall is my favorite time of year, I hate how it dries out my skin, my lips especially.

Here's how I get my lips soft and smooth.

First, dampen a wash cloth in warm water and hold it to your lips for 30 to 45 seconds.

Then, using an old toothbrush or spoolie, gently scrub the dry skin from your lips.

Last, apply an extremely moisturizing lip balm.

Just like that you have smooth lips!

I don't recommend doing this every day. Maybe once a week. If you get dry in between you can apply a sugar scrub!

Thanks for reading! What is your favorite thing about fall? Your least favorite?

Tiny Tip Tuesday! #3

I love candles. I burn through them so fast.

But who likes to waste the cute containers they come in? They are so useful. I have a few from Bath and Body Works that I keeps cotton buds and cotton rounds in on my vanity.

Getting the wax out cleanly is super easy. All you have to do is pop the candle into the freezer for a few hours. When it's nice and frozen, take a butter knife and slide it around the edges. The wax will pop right out!

*Please don't dump hot wax down the drain. I did that once as a child. It wasn't pretty!

I'm a bad blogger

But I hopefully won't be for long!

Our internet has been down for a few days. Boo. But hopefully it will be back up next week.

My phone hates blogging. Hates it.

Tiny Tip Tuesday! #2

Do you ever wonder how makeup artists get such a clean line with gel eyeliner?

Just dip your brush in water!

I use this brush for liner and I love it! I'm partially blind in my right eye, so the angled head really helps me apply because the brush doesn't block my line of sight!

Tiny Tip Tuesday! #1

Welcome to Tiny Tip Tuesday!

These are going to be some tiny tips that are big help!

The first tip has to do with Vaseline. Yes, Vaseline. May the jokes commence.

Do you ever just dread tweezing? I know I do. But it doesn't have to be painful!

All you have to do for painless tweezing is to apply a little Vaseline to the area and, with sharp tweezers, pull the hair out gently. No pain!

If you are really  sensitive, I'd tweeze your brows (or any other pesky hairs) right after getting out of the shower!

It's only day two

I've lived in SC for 1 full day and I'm already stressed.

There are NO jobs. Like, none.

I've spent the last day and a half unpacking and loving my life here already. Until today. Today, I went job hunting. Moving from a big city to a tiny town definitely has it's disadvantages. The only job listing that isn't for truck driving is for Bojangles. Bo-freaking-jangles. I have only one line when it comes to jobs. I will not do fast food. I just can't do it. I don't really know why. There is nothing wrong with it, but the thought make me break out in hives. It won't happen.

I just want a nice office job. I could be an administrative assistant. But you need experience for that. You need a degree for that. I just hate the idea of having a job that isn't steady and that doesn't waste my time.

I did apply at Sally's though. I could do that. I spend all of my money there anyway.

Does anyone have advice on breaking into a field with minor experience and no degree? Or how to find a job that isn't listed?

I was practically a manager at my last job, but there aren't really any restaurants around here.

Bahhhahahahha. Now I know how Paulina feels.

I hope you have a better and more stress free day than I had!

UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

Hello to anyone stopping by for a visit.

I just recently switched blogs, so this one is currently having a face lift.

In literally 2 days i'm moving from Southern Louisiana to South Carolina (soooo excited) so I can't give my blog the attention it deserves currently.
I have reposted a few posts from my old blog (Love Life With Jess) though on some screens, the pictures don't show up. Boo.

My blog will be about Loving life and being Happy.

There will also be lots of beauty thrown in the mix. I'm an addict.

Here are a few links to things I will be active on in the next few weeks. Though I'm getting better at twitter, I'm constantly posting on instagram so follow me!
